MatPIV

Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is a whole-flow-field technique providing instantaneous velocity vector measurements in a cross-section of a flow. This technique being a non-intrusive one, allows the application of PIV in high speed flows, boundary layer studies of fluids.

MatPIV is a toolbox for Particle Image Velocimetry, made to run with MATLAB (by the Mathworks Inc). By using MATLAB as a foundation, MatPIV is practically platform independent, meaning that the code will run on any platform where MATLAB will run. MatPIV is supplied with source code under the terms of the GNU general public license manager (see below) which means that it is straightforward to write additions or to do personal modifications to the code.
