The MicroNed programme is aimed at increasing and spreading knowledge in the field of Micro Systems Technology (MST) and MEMS. Special attention will be given to problems that obstruct the further application of MST in industry. This is achieved in the MicroNed programme through new research, bundling of knowledge and infrastructure, a close collaboration between research institutes and industry, distribution of aquired knowledge and further collaboration on the education in the field of MST.
The programme is part of the Decree on subsidies for investments in the knowledge infrastructure (Bisk), which is a subsidy from the Dutch government. The MicroNed proposal is part of the 'Microsystem and Nanotechnology' Theme.
